What attackers hit most

This is a one-pager you can hand to your relatives. No jargon, just the three scams hitting people most often:

1) SIM-swaps

  • Attacker convinces carrier to port your number.
  • They hijack SMS 2FA and reset your accounts.
  • Fix: Ask carrier to set a port-out PIN. Don’t rely on SMS 2FA.

2) Vacuum-cleaner browser extensions

  • Extensions that promise coupons/wallpapers but read everything you type.
  • They grab passwords, card numbers, crypto logins.
  • Fix: Install fewer extensions. Only from developers you actually know. Remove junk.

3) Telegram “support” scams

  • You post a question in a crypto chat.
  • Fake “support” DMs you, asks for seed or codes.
  • Fix: Real support never DMs you first. Don’t share private keys. Ever.

Bottom line: If it feels rushed or secret — stop. Call a trusted friend before you click or reply.
